My air conditioner failed on the hottest day of the year. The first company I called didn't answer the phone. American Air Solutions answered their phone, said they were crazy busy but they'd try to fit me in. Three hours later David pulled up. He explained what had failed, replaced the part, and had the system running in 40 minutes. Didn't gouge me on the price and didn't insist on selling me a service contract. My AC started turning on and off after running for a while. I had vista pros come out, and after inspecting my system, I was told that I needed to replace my coils and the external unit, or I could replace the entire system. Between 4k - 9k, it's not that bad of a price. However, I was upset that they did not do any troubleshooting at all. They said I had the old freon R22, which is expensive to fill up, and the system is old and that it needed to be replaced. My buddy at work used American Air Solutions , and they did some work at the hospital I work at, so I had him come check my AC unit. David never once suggested buying a new AC. He actually started troubleshooting the system, and after about an hour and refilling the R22 freon, he told me to change out my nest thermostat. So I changed it out the next day, and voila the system was fixed. My AC unit is about 13 years old, which I do understand is getting old. However, this thing has been running with no issues until now. Thank you so much, David, for your time, professionalism, and expertise in repairing my workhorse AC unit.
